post Closure of Manama restaurants after midnight.

April 12th, 2007

Hi,

This piece of news have been on the front page of every local newpaper on the island and really caught my attention because there is something funny about it. First about this new law is that restaurant owners in the capital Manama were asked, two weeks ago to sign some sort of a formal contract agreeing the closure of their local food restaurants after midnight. This sort of contract was signed in Al-Hora police station  and some owners claim that the police forced them to sign without explaining them the reasons.

Now about the funny part, coz nobody knows exactly who enforced this law as each official such as Manama Governer, PR director in the ministry of interior are denying enforcing such law and till this moment nobody knows who exactly ordered that!!

Police now are wandering around the streets of Manama ordering every restaurant to close if it is seen open after midnight. Oh, wait it is not only restaurants but also local coffee shops (Qahawee).

The funny thing is that the police force are following orders that are till this moment not sure who issued it. We'll certainly miss (Tikat abol) and the rest! Damn. Wallah mas5arah and 6ar6arah!

post Bahrainised questions ..

Question  1: Crimes and burglaries in Bahrain

Endless crimes and burglaries are taking place on our lovely island? The killer of Saar, The Killer of Muharraq, The thief of Hamad Town and the list goes on as each town and vilage has its unique case. Why is the government is not realising what is going on?

Question 2: Hummer cars in Bahrain!!

Why there are recently a lot of hummer cars flooding the strees of Bahrain all of a sudden? Take a ride across the streets of Bahrain and count how many you find. I guarantee you that you won't get less than 7! There are becoming like corolla or sunny nowadays LOL.

Question 3: Bahraini blogs!!

Why some Bahraini blogs use very complicated/difficult/sophisticated & old-fashioned english? Is it because my english is very bad  or stupid that I don't understand? Or is it because there are "vocabulary-freak" bloggers in which some were educated/studying in UK USA/Canada and any other anglicised countries whom use the most sophisticated english words for simplest meanings just to show off??

Wallah guys and ladies sometimes I go and read and I ask myself "Is this english or what?".

Some Bahraini bloggers just decided to invent their own, complicated "Bahraini English". Go and browse in some Bahraini blogs (without mentioning specific blogs), where you'll find interesting topics, but you need something like a cambridge advanced-learner dictionary to know what these bloggers are saying!! My message to those (Just an advice not an obligation),, its good to blog in english BUT Keep It eaSy and Simple (KISS). Maybe some would read this and get angry and ask me to mind my own damn business LOL! But it is only for the sake of improving the Bahraini Blogosphere. If you feel pissed off about what I wrote then you are one of them! Chill out, revise yourself and make your english easier!!".

Stay safe everyone!

P.S. Any luck so far to provide poor little Tito with a free F1 ticket?? I wanna really see it before going back to bloody Bath!!

Hello world,,

When I was typing the URL address to access my blog I didn't have any plans on what topic to write, I only felt the urge to write something, anything. It became a habit to post every couple of days, regardless of the circumstances. This time I had a lots of thoughts going through my mind, and I thought, well, let's these with my dear fellows in the blog.

Thought no.1 : After seeing many places across the island, I realised how beautiful and modernaised the country is becoming and the changes occured in construction, roads and land. There are many places that I want to take photos of before returning back to UK.

Thought no.2:  I went to Geant Hypermart in Bahrain mall in the mid of last week for the first time during my short holiday here in Bahrain, and as usual when I go there, I went first to the electronics section and my eyes glimpsed this camera (Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50). I have this obsessive desire to own the latest gadgets, eventhough my current gadgets are not that bad and my financial status is disastrous. It's just when I want something, I really want it very bad.For instance I am thinking of selling my current camera (Canon Powershot A640) and my 12.1" iBook G4 just to afford buying this camera. Oh! talking about photography, you can view some updated images on my flickr page.

Thought no. 3: My siblings have moved number of my valuable possessions to their rooms while I was away. So for all of you who are leaving the country for long periods I say (hide your valuables from your dear ones!) - (My sister will certainly read this line and will come with furious anger and vengeance to this line!).

Thought no. 4: When I came to Bahrain I thought I would spend more time reading and studying for my finals and finish any uncompleted coursework, but the contrast is happening right now!

This is the amount of paperwork I should read to prepare for 4 exams for this semester and I haven't read a single sheet so far!

Furthermore, I have to do my master's dissertation proposal (I'll put another post to talk about it which you'll certainly find interesting) which I have to submit within 10 days from now and to read journals (shown above in the picture) in supply management, service management, consumer behaviour and project management. In addition to that I have to do my part in the group assignment about the silly Apple iPhone as well. I am thinking of doing most of the work in a coffee shop, because I feel I won't achieve any progress while I'm at home. Any suggestions my dear friends for a nice, cosy coffee shop with free wireless internet opening till late night, where I can carry my work happily and peacefully? (You know me, I don't know much places around the island and I always depend on people to take me to the places I want).

Well, I guess I'll stop writing down my thought for now, although there are some other thoughts but I don't wanna bore you with all these personal thoughts and make this post look very long.

Until then stay safe people and wait for your suggestions
