Grants for Phd and Masters

Here is the Juicy offer as I've seen it in Alwasat Newspaper dated Monday 2nd April 2007.
I hope I can get one of these grants but I bet it'll be extremely competitive. The question remains, is that what the company means by "initial acceptance". Because as you know some institutions may not issue clear acceptance until the end of the summer (August/Sept.). Anyways I will call and ask for more details.
The other question I thought of is the type of contract the company will sign with perspective student and would it be a similar in term to the ministry of education contract. I'll call and see!

I like the word “prestigious” the used to describe the universities! Anyway, what I heard and know from previous experience is that this such grants are carried out all in good gesture.. As in there are no binding agreements of any sort.
Am I wrong?

There are no binding contracts to these scholarship. The same does NOT apply however on scholarships by AMA (Ahmed Mansour Al-Ali) as these come with binding 4 or 5 years contracts and are for undergraduate study (specific Engineering majors only).
